Prevention Awards

As an organization that advocates for and funds preventive health programs, the NC Health and Wellness Trust Fund (HWTF) has been celebrating and recognizing outstanding North Carolinians in the following areas:

• Preventive health
• Access to health care
• Promoting healthy lifestyles

Leaders will be honored at a ceremony taking place in June 2009 in the Triangle area. They will be recognized in the following categories:

• Advocacy/Public Policy
• Community Catalyst
• Innovator
• Leadership in Obesity, Tobacco Use Prevention/Cessation or Health Disparities
